NEOM is one of the world’s most ambitious development projects. As hotels, residential areas and infrastructure rapidly emerge across the region, the hospitality industry faces a challenge of its own: processing the enormous volumes of linen required to support thousands of guests and employees every day.
To meet that demand, a new industrial laundry with a capacity of 130 tons per day was commissioned. WSP was selected to design, engineer, integrate and deliver the complete operation.

The challenge
When the project started, only the building dimensions and high-level requirements were available. Everything else still had to be defined.
The laundry would serve more than 8,000 hotel rooms and their staff, requiring exceptional capacity, reliability and flexibility. At the same time, the operation needed to be energy-efficient, future-proof and capable of supporting the continued growth of the region.
For WSP, the project started with one objective: create a laundry that performs today and remains ready for tomorrow.
That required detailed analysis, extensive planning and close collaboration with architects, consultants and construction partners from the earliest stages of the project.
Because the quality of a solution is determined long before the first machine is installed.
The solution
WSP took responsibility for the complete design and integration of the laundry from the earliest project phase.
Working closely with architects, construction partners and technical consultants, we developed the entire operation using BIM-based 3D engineering. Every process was designed around efficiency, scalability and operational reliability.
The facility includes:
All systems were integrated through WinWash, creating one central platform for operational control, logistics and production management.
The result
The laundry is fully operational and capable of processing:
The result is a high-capacity, RFID-driven laundry designed for maximum productivity, consistent quality and long-term growth.
From concept to operation, WSP delivered one fully integrated solution that supports one of the world’s most ambitious hospitality developments.
