Family owned
since 1993
Maarten Ploeg founded WSP Systems bv (Wasserij Service Ploeg) in 1993. As an entrepreneurial Control Engineer, he saw opportunities. His technical expertise, combined with a passion for solving complex process challenges, laid the foundation for what WSP has become today: an international partner that connects software, hardware and people into one integrated laundry operation.
What started as a small, family-run business has grown into an international partner for industrial laundries. Throughout that journey, his wife Alice has played an important role alongside him.
Today, Maarten serves as Managing Director and Alice as HR Professional, known for the care and attention she brings to both colleagues and the company culture. For example, when team members spend a weekend working on-site, she makes sure their families receive a flower bouquet at home.
The next generation is now part of the business as well, with sons Matthijs and Dieke involved in the day-to-day operations of WSP.
How it all started
